Enjoy the music of The Garry Polston Family when they are in your area. This Kentucky based group presents a concert of sweet southern harmonies loved by their audiences. They sing the old hymns, as well as songs written by Garry, David and others that write for the family. Their acapella arrangements are a favorite among their listeners, as well as when Garry sits down at the piano for some down home singing and David pulls out his guitar or banjo for some pickin' and grinnin'.
Garry is an ordained Minister and Pastor of the United Methodist Churches at New Castle and Eminence, Kentucky. Garry is a singer, musician and composer and has sung for many years with such groups as The Servants, The Brotherhood Quartet and also has performed on an extensive tour with the legendary Sego Brothers and Naomi. Garry now sings with his wife Lula, his twin brother Larry and bass singer David Martin.
Lula sings the alto, and although she is soft spoken, she can deliver the words of a song in such a dynamic way that it will surely touch your heart. Lula is in charge of the product table. Lula is a retired Social Worker for the State of Kentucky, and is currently the secretary for the church in which Garry pastors.
Garry and Larry began singing at age 8 with the original Polston Family, which included their Dad and Mom (Jim B and Eva Polston). Larry also sang with The Servants Quartet, The Seekers, the original Brotherhood Quartet and The Tabernacle Quartet. Larry lives in Nicholasville, Kentucky with his wife Cheryl. They attend Revival Tabernacle Church in Lexington where Larry teaches a Sunday School Class. They have two daughters Amanda & Melinda and one son Daniel.
David Martin is a smooth, low bass singer as well as a fine musician, composer and Christian gentleman. In addition, David is the sound engineer and number one bus driver. David sang for many years with The Franklins (which included his wife, Rita) and The Noblemen. David is an ordained Deacon at the Cropper Baptist Church where he teaches a Sunday School Class and is their Church Organist. David is Vice-President of Development for Shelby Energy Corporation.
