Reverend Garry W. Polston

·        Born: April 5th. 1952 at Jabez Kentucky in Russell County to Jim B. & Eva Polston 

·        Attended Jabez Elementary School 1958 - 1966

·        Began singing and playing guitar with The Polston Family at the age of 8

·        At the age of 10, began playing the piano for the Polston Family

·        Graduated from Nancy High School in 1970

·        Attended Somerset Community College 1970 – 1971

·        1971 to present: Sang with The Servants from Campbellsville Kentucky, The Sego Brothers & Naomi, The Polston Family, The Brotherhood Quartet, and now The Garry Polston Family

·        Entered the ministry in February 1977

·        Received License to Preach in 1978

·        Graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 1980

·        Received the Evangelism Award from the Campbellsville District in 1981

·        June 1981 – June 1984 was Evangelist and President of Brotherhood Ministries Inc. traveling, singing with the Brotherhood Quartet and preaching revivals in more than twenty states 

·        Has preached more than 300 revivals and Camp Meetings

·        Graduated from the United Methodist Courses of Study at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia in 1986 after 5 years of studies

·        Ordained to Ministry by the Louisville Annual Conference in 1987        (The Louisville Conference and the Kentucky Conference has merged and is now the Kentucky Conference of the Louisville Area)

·        Since 1999, has been pastor of the New Castle United Methodist Church with significant church growth

·        Hobbies: Fishing & playing the piano

·        Favorite food: Pinto beans, corn bread, fried potatoes & watercress (creesy greens)

·        Favorite TV show: The Andy Griffith Show

·        Favorite singing group of all time: J.D. Sumner & the Stamps Quartet

·        Today's favorite groups: The Triumphant Quartet, The Perry's, and Southern Sound Qt.
